Local lad, Trent Alexander Arnold has signed a long term contract with Liverpool FC

More great news from Liverpool FC on the morning of the Liverpool FC v Crystal Palace match. Trent Alexander-Arnold just signed a long term contract with his boyhood club.
TAA was 6 years old when he began attending Liverpool’s youth academy and made his first appearance with the senior squad in 2016 at age 18. The local lad has made 67 appearances for #LFC under Jürgen Klopp and scoring 4 goals so far.
In an interview with Liverpoolfc.com, the defender said “I’m ecstatic and really proud. “I feel privileged to have the support and the trust the club has in me to offer me a new deal.”
On Twitter, Trent shared, “When it comes to playing football, there is only one club for me. After 14 years at @liverpoolfc I am so happy to sign a new contract! Just want to say thank you to the fans for all your support on my journey so far ❤ #YNWA”
Still no word if TAA will be starting in the match later today against Crystal Palace. He suffered a knock in the pregame warm ups last Saturday but still played a full 90 minutes at Brighton ending in a result of 0-1. It wasn’t until after the game they learned he had an injury.
The club stated, “Nothing happened during the game, it was all stable and good. It was just what happened before the game; adrenaline is obviously an interesting thing, it gives you the opportunity to do a bit more than you would expect. We will see.”
We are only hours away from Liverpool taking the field back home at Anfield, still top of the table and 4 points clear going into the game. Crystal Palace has been an Achilles heel in the past for Liverpool but we have faith in our Redmen and believe the game will end with Liverpool picking up another 3 points.
